Blueprint extends its enterprise requirements definition and management cloud with secure connection powered by Layer 7 Technologies
Blueprint®, the leading provider of enterprise Requirements Definition & Management (RDM) software announced today Blueprint CloudConnect, a virtual appliance that provides a secure connection between Blueprint Cloud and HP ALM, HP QC, and Microsoft TFS.
BlueprintCloud provides a fast and simple way for companies to provision and use Blueprint’s RDM software application in situations ranging from small workgroups to globally-distributed enterprise software development teams.
“On demand is increasingly the preferred way of accessing software, and a secure cloud connection increases flexibility for our customers who rely on our requirements platform to deliver software applications on time and on budget,” says Ray Payette, Senior Vice President Engineering and Operations. Payette says Blueprint CloudConnect sits in the “DMZ” (Demilitarized Zone), creating a bi-directionally trusted “communication tunnel” that allows applications to exchange data while ensuring the privacy of each connection.
The authenticated and encrypted connection to the Blueprint Cloud is based on industry standard Transport Layer Security (TLS) powered by the CloudConnect API solution from Layer 7 Technologies, a leading provider of secure cloud communication and API management solutions.
Blueprint CloudConnect ensures sensitive information is kept safely within the enterprise datacenter while at the same time providing a consistent and seamless experience for the people actually accessing the applications.
“API management solutions have become widely adopted by enterprises that need to enable cloud access securely,” said Dimitri Sirota, co-founder and chief strategy officer at Layer 7. “The Layer 7 CloudConnect solution enables a simple, secure and API-driven on-ramp to cloud services, like the Blueprint Cloud, for cloud providers and enterprises alike.”
