Layer 7 Technologies Announces New Cisco Ace XML Gateway Migration Guide

Step-by-Step Methodology Enables Quick and Easy Migration from Cisco AXG to Layer 7

Layer 7 Technologies, the leader in Gateways for service-oriented integration, cloud connectivity and Web-to-mobile information sharing, today announced the availability of its new Cisco AXG Migration Guide. The Migration Guide speeds and simplifies migration from the retired Cisco Ace XML Gateway (AXG) to Layer 7’s industry-leading SecureSpan™ Gateway products.

The new Migration Guide represents a significant update to Layer 7’s already popular Cisco migration program, providing enterprises with a step-by-step methodology designed to ensure maximal speed and efficiency for AXG replacement projects with minimal disruption. A key component of the Migration Guide is the Layer 7 Cisco AXG Migration Tool, which is delivered as a policy-based utility embedded in Layer 7’s SecureSpan Gateway. The Migration Tool is able to read an AXG export file and efficiently populate the SecureSpan appliance with corresponding proxies and policies, minimizing developer effort and speeding time to implementation.

“Since announcing its Cisco migration program in August 2010, Layer 7 has established itself as the preferred provider of AXG replacement services,” said Stephen Mak, product manager at Layer 7. “We feel the AXG Migration Guide will cement our position as the ideal choice for organizations seeking a swift, seamless Cisco replacement solution.”
