The company is also sponsoring two upcoming CSA events, including the Cloud Security Alliance Summit at RSA and a webinar on managing API security in the cloud.

As cloud adoption continues to escalate across the enterprise, network architects, developers and security professionals are seeking best practices in cloud computing to shorten the learning curve, streamline operations and minimize the risk associated with sharing data across internal and external security boundaries. As a new CSA member, Layer 7 is taking a leadership role on several fronts to help define standards and best practices in cloud computing security.

  • Cloud Security Alliance Summit, February 14, 2011, San Francisco Layer 7 is a sponsor of the 2011 Cloud Security Alliance Summit that will be held alongside RSA in San Francisco. This year’s Summit serves as the venue for the global introduction of several research projects, including research on governance, cloud security reference architectures and cloud-specific computer security incident response teams.
  • Managing API Security and SaaS in the Cloud Webinar, February 23, 2011 Featuring eBay Head of Security Liam Lynch, Layer 7 and the CSA will co-present this webinar. Mr. Lynch and Layer 7 CTO Scott Morrison will discuss how enterprises can secure APIs to different consumers in a simple, scalable way, and address versioning and meter consumption without burdening either application developers or application consumers.
