New Capabilities for Physicians
The expanded suite of communication tools focuses on increasing efficiency and simplifying the care collaboration experience for physicians. With instant access to all on-call and assigned care team members, and providers across the health system network, physicians can spend less time figuring out who to contact and more time coordinating care. Customizable notification options prevent alert fatigue while ensuring providers receive important updates but aren’t interrupted by non-critical information.
The new functionality also drives timely response to critical messages with customizable reminders, read receipts, acknowledgements, and forwarding capabilities. In addition, the platform protects a physician’s privacy, eliminating the need to share personal cell phone numbers or use pagers. A privacy dialer masks the physician’s outgoing cell number and routes return calls to the call-back number of their choice. Finally, physicians can securely communicate with those who are not users of the PatientTouch app via secure SMS paging, including partner providers from other health systems, patients, and their families.
