Longo brings more than 20 years of extensive B2B healthcare technology experience to the PatientSafe executive team
SAN DIEGO, CALIF. – July 31, 2014 – PatientSafe Solutions, a leader in smart point-of-care mobile solutions for healthcare, announced the appointment of Peter D. Longo, MBA, to the position of chief revenue officer and senior vice president (SVP). Longo has extensive experience in the healthcare industry with a passion for improving the healthcare system, and he brings this expertise to help grow the company by building high caliber sales teams.
Longo has more than 20 years of extensive B2B healthcare technology experience. He began his career in healthcare at McKesson where he worked in many sales leadership capacities and was later appointed as the vice president of sales processes. During his time at McKesson, he focused on building new sales teams to help address key pain points of the company’s key target audiences. He later expanded his work by becoming the vice president of sales for Sunquest, when it was part of the Misys Healthcare Corporation before it merged with Allscripts. During this time, Longo led his sales teams as they worked with the number one software for lab, radiology, pharmacy and enterprise hospital solutions.

Peter Longo’s dedication to healthcare improvement extends beyond his work. He actively sits on the board of United Cerebral Palsy and is treasurer of the foundation. Longo also sits on the advisory board for a few strategic healthcare start-ups. In addition to all his experience building and growing clinical software teams, Longo spent an extended about of time living and working in China. He received his BBA degree from University of Southern California and his MBA from Pepperdine University.
