Leading care collaboration solution provider to exhibit and demo new clinical workflows that create ease and efficiency for nurses, Onslow Memorial Hospital to present results
SAN DIEGO – March 29, 2017 – PatientSafe Solutions (PatientSafe), a leader in care collaboration solutions, today announced it will exhibit new Rounding and Early Warning System (EWS) workflows on its PatientTouch® platform, the only mobile solution that unifies clinical communications with critical workflows in a single smartphone application. The company will demonstrate the new functionality at the American Organization of Nursing Executives (AONE) 50th Annual Meeting and at the American Nursing Informatics Association (ANIA) Annual Conference.
“PatientTouch has vastly improved the way our facility operates on a daily basis,” said Autumn Foy, director of clinical informatics at Onslow Memorial Hospital. “With integrated clinical communications and workflows, PatientTouch is a vital tool for our care teams, and has positively impacted patient care, safety, and satisfaction.”
The new mobile Rounding module enables real-time bedside documentation and increases adherence to best practices for improved patient satisfaction. The Early Warning System module improves patient safety by alerting assigned clinicians to rapid patient deterioration and enables immediate escalation to the rapid response team.
Onslow Memorial has been using PatientSafe’s PatientTouch Clinical Communications platform since March 2016. On behalf of Onslow Memorial, Foy is sharing her experience in a presentation at AONE.
“Our clinicians do more than 70 percent of their work directly on PatientTouch, giving them back time and cognitive capacity to practice at the top of their license,” Foy added.
PatientTouch unifies clinical communications with point-of-care workflow capabilities on a single device and single application. Its clinical communication solutions include secure messaging, voice, alerts, nurse call, and EMR data integrations. Comprehensive point-of-care workflows include Specimen Collection, Medication Administration, Infant Care, Blood Product Administration, and Assessments. Real-time assignment of user and role to patient/location and documentation are available in the same application, providing a completely integrated work experience for the entire frontline care team.
“PatientSafe is passionate about making the experience of care simple and effective,” said Si Luo, President and CEO of PatientSafe Solutions. “Our long history of clinical experience and deep collaborative relationships with our nursing and informatics leadership partners helped hone PatientTouch into an intuitive solution that removes user experience fragmentation and improves nursing satisfaction. We’re excited to be back at ANIA and AONE to continue the conversation and gain more inspiration for the journey ahead.”
PatientSafe will be in Booth 949 at AONE and Booth 301 at ANIA. The company will be demonstrating the PatientTouch platform and offering free consultations. Autumn Foy, clinical informatics director at Onslow Memorial Hospital, will present “Improving Safety and Efficiency with Mobile Clinical Communications” at AONE at 1:20 p.m., Friday, March 31st in room 318.
