We are delighted to announce that we have added to our team at Shoreline Venture Management.  Joan M. Wrabetz, a distinguished executive in the enterprise software sector, has joined Shoreline as a Venture Partner.

Joan has more than 20 years of executive management experience at public and privately held technology companies.  She has been an executive at a number of startup technology companies, a partner with BlueStream Ventures, and served on the board of directors or advisory board of many early-stage technology companies.

Currently, Joan advises a number of early-stage companies through her consulting firm, Renaissance Consulting Group, acting as co-founder, advisory board member, or interim executive for technology companies in VR, IoT, and DevOPs.

She was most recently Vice President of Marketing for the Datacenter Systems Business Unit of Western Digital and, previously, was Chief Technology Officer for QualiSystems and VP and CTO for the advanced technology division of EMC.

Joan was the founder and CEO of Aumni Data, a developer of big data analytics technology. She was the CEO of Tricord Systems (acquired by Adaptec), one of the first companies to introduce a commercial product based on distributed file system technology.  Earlier, Joan was the VP and general manager for SAN operations at StorageTek.  Prior to joining StorageTek, she was the founder and CEO of Aggregate Computing, a grid computing software company (acquired by Platinum Technologies).  Prior to Aggregate, Joan held management and senior technical positions at Control Data Corporation and SRI International.

Ms. Wrabetz holds an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley, an MSEE from Stanford University, and BSEE from Yale University. She holds patents in load balancing, distributed systems and machine learning classification and analytics.
